The Business English Certificate (BEC) Higher certifies that candidates are on the same level as those taking the Cambridge Advanced English(CAE), however with emphasis on Business English. Candidates are able to use the language in their professional environments in a practised, focussed and adequate manner.


Format of the exam

  • Reading (1 hour)
  • Writitng (1 hour 10 minutes)
  • Listening (40 minutes)
  • Speaking (16 minutes)
